Harry Cunnane

Harry Cunnane is a nonprofit executive with a background in government affairs, sales, and branding. In 2021 he co-authored UNDER OUR ROOF, a family memoir about addiction and recovery, and YOU ARE ALWAYS LOVED, a children’s book aimed at reducing the stigma of addiction in the family system, with his mother, Congresswoman Madeleine Dean, for Penguin Random House.
As a person with lived experience in recovery, he works tirelessly to ensure that more Americans have the same chance at success through access to lifesaving treatment that he had. Harry has worked with legislators on both sides of the aisle as well as the White House and local leaders to foster meaningful conversations geared toward leveraging the government’s resources to combat addiction and care for those impacted by substance use and mental health disorders.
An accomplished public speaker, Harry frequently shares his message at conferences and schools across the country. He has been featured on CNN, MSNBC, PBS, ABC, FOX, as well as dozens of podcasts. Harry lives in Mount Laurel, NJ with his wife Juliet, and children Aubrey, Sawyer, and Scottie.
Gabby Richards
VP of Public Relations
Gabby Richards is a public relations and communications strategist with extensive experience supporting the work of organizations dedicated to advancing voting rights, reproductive justice, and criminal justice reform. She has over a decade of experience working in advocacy communications, has served as communications director on political campaigns and in the U.S. House of Representatives, and was named as a top PA political consultant by City & State PA.
Through her work, Gabby has helped non-profits, Fortune 50 companies (including Comcast and American Airlines), and government entities develop community-centered, multi-faceted, advocacy campaigns to advance the issues most important to the communities they serve. Gabby also serves on the board of Emerge PA where she helps train and recruit women to run for office. Gabby is a graduate of Penn State University where she earned her B.A. in broadcast journalism and worked in the athletic communications department for Penn State Athletics.
Tim Mack
VP of Communications
Tim Mack is a creative and strategic communications professional with proven experience in developing messaging and digital and press engagement strategies for public officials and electoral campaigns.
In 2018, Tim served as Deputy Campaign Manager for now Congresswoman Madeleine Dean where he managed the campaign’s volunteer program, advised on messaging and press engagement, and oversaw a $1.4M fundraising effort for the successful congressional bid. He has since served as Communications Director and Senior Advisor for the Congresswoman where he built the office’s communications brand, voice, and style. His strategic approach helped propel Congresswoman Dean’s rise as a trusted national voice on breaking news and important policy issues like democracy reform, international affairs, and addiction and recovery.
In 2021, Tim assisted with the press strategy and engagement for Under our Roof, a book authored by Harry Cunnane and Congresswoman Dean. Tim secured major press bookings including on NBC News, CNN, and PBS where the duo centered addiction and recovery in the national conversation to help end the stigma.
Prior to joining Congresswoman Dean’s team, Tim served in Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney’s administration where he supported the communications and operations teams, conducting research and drafting messaging for the Mayor’s public-facing events.
Tim is a Philadelphia native and Army veteran who received his Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Communication Media from Lock Haven University and his Masters in Political Communication from the University of Leeds in the United Kingdom where he lived and worked in student engagement after completion of Master’s degree.
As the son of a Jazz drummer, Tim is a music enthusiast by birth and a film and television aficionado by choice. He is an intense Philadelphia sports fan and can always be found making the case for his teams in one group chat or another.. Tim currently resides in Washington, DC, where he is working hard to finally become fluent in Spanish after living in Madrid for a year and a half – Vuelan las Águilas Vuelan!
Stephanie Cunnane

STEPHANIE CUNNANE is a trained journalist turned marketer, digital political organizer, public relations professional, and strategic communications consultant who uses her diverse skillset to build brands – whether corporate, nonprofit, or personal – and drive change.
She has worked at communications firms on each coast – the Incite Agency in Washington, D.C. and Rally in Los Angeles – where she crafted and executed the rollout of campaigns aimed at achieving public policy and reputational goals for clients such as Airbnb, Bloomberg Philanthropies, Eli Lilly, the Sierra Club, the United Way, and the Walton Family Foundation. Stephanie has advised members of Congress, CEOs, professional athletes, philanthropists, and grassroot organizers as they seek to make a difference on a host of challenging yet vital issues, including climate change, gentrification, education reform, gun safety, homelessness, and Alzheimer’s.
She is an expert in media strategy (both paid and earned), launching events, messaging, copywriting, content creation, and building relationships with national, local, and industry-specific reporters. She has secured coverage in POLITICO, NPR, CNN, BBC, and TIME, as well as profile pieces for her clients in Washington Post Magazine, the Los Angeles Times, and The Philadelphia Inquirer among others.
Pat Cunnane

Pat Cunnane served in President Barack Obama’s West Wing for six years in many roles and ultimately as Senior Writer and Deputy Director of Messaging. Following the 2016 election, he transitioned from writing for the real White House to a fake one on ABC’s DESIGNATED SURVIVOR and he has worked as a TV and screenwriter ever since. He has sold pilots to ABC and Comedy Central and wrote a memoir, WEST WINGING IT, which was published by Simon & Schuster.
Pat’s first feature AFFAIRS OF STATE made 2019’s The Black List and he appeared on the list again in 2022 with ETERNITY. In between, he’s sold multiple film projects that are in development including with A24, Paramount, Sony 3000, Star Thrower, Anonymous Content, and the New York Times. He’s written articles for The New Yorker, The Wall Street Journal, and POLITICO Magazine, among others. A messaging and crisis communications expert, Pat’s written for Presidents, CEOs, celebrities and Members of Congress.
After an intense pressure campaign by two sets of grandparents, he recently moved back to Philadelphia from Los Angeles with his wife whom he met in second grade and their daughter, Ella — the impetus for the pressure.
